Introduced in 2007, the 599 GTB features a 6.0L V12 engine with 612 hp, 448 lb-ft of torque and an 8,400 RPM redline. Power is sent through the 6-speed F1 "Super Fast" transmission, with astonishingly quick 100 millisecond shift times. The 599 was the first Ferrari GT car to receive an aluminum chassis and saw the debut of the new F1-Trac traction control system. All of these advancements resulted in a Fiorano lap time 5 seconds faster than the 575M it replaced.
