The 718 Cayman GT4 was introduced in 2019. On the outside, it features aggressive bodywork that quickly distinguish the GT4 from its lower powered siblings: Lower stance, new front bumper, a large new diffuser, larger side intakes, and an adjustable wing which helps it generate up to 330 lbs of downforce. But what really makes this car special is what you find underneath. This high performance Porsche borrowed its front suspension and brakes from the GT3, and the adaptive dampers, ABS and stability-control programming from the GT3 RS. That motorsport DNA, combined with the neutral chassis and mid engine layout of the Cayman, culminate in a 1.10-g skidpad performance.

The engine, a naturally aspirated 4.0L flat 6, is derived from the 3.0L Turbo found in the Carrera S. Bore and stroke increases account for the 1.0L increase in displacement. Several internals, including the heads, manifold, and crank are all new. Output is an impressive 414 hp at 7,600 RPM, with 309 lb-ft of torque from 5,000 to 6,800 RPM, and a redline of 8,100 RPM. 0-60 MPH is accomplished in just 3.7s, with a quarter mile time of 11.9s at 120 MPH, and a top speed of 188 MPH.
